Upon graduating on Dec. 8 with a degree in Multimedia Journalism, I am seeking to begin a career in the media field, specifically journalism or public relations.

Staff Writer Fall 2016
As a Staff Writer, I wrote various pieces about events on campus, feature stories about students and faculty members, and other stories. As News Editor, I assigned stories to other student writers, edited them, and designed and placed them on the News page for our weekly paper.

News Editor Fall 2017- Present
As News Editor, I continued to write pieces for the News section, and also looked for and assigned stories to other student writers and edited the stories submitted to AP Style. I also laid out and placed the stories on the News page for our weekly, student-led paper.

News Clerk January 2017- Present
I completed various day-to-day tasks for the newspaper, including compiling and editing obituaries to AP Style, typing and editing letters and briefs, building the comics page, and updating the website nightly with the stories for the next day.

I handled many tasks, such as uploading the stories from each day’s Morning Edition onto the News Tracker. I also wrote scripts for events, and the blurb for the weekly podcast “Traveling Arkansas with Kim Williams.”
